welcome to the fourth………………………………………………lake orion photography

April 21st, 2010

I had the pleasure of photographing the newest addition to a wonderful family.  Little Lucas had his own ideas…he found his hands and kept putting them in his mouth.  Somehow I still managed to get a few without his little fists crammed in his mouth.  Everyone did such a fabulous job!  Thanks for the easy session.

I ♥ this…so many hands

Wow, it’s been a long time since I posted something.  I’ve been super busy these last few months.  It takes me a lot of time to post pictures here, so in all fairness to my customers, I had to put it on hold.  The craziness is beginning to come to an end and I see the light at the end of the tunnel.  I can’t wait to take a little time off and enjoy life :-)

I took these pictures of my kids over Thanksgiving weekend.  They’re going on my Christmas card and I can honestly say I love them.  My youngest wasn’t the most cooperative that day; notice his huge frown in the picture where he is kissing his sister.  Let’s just say he really didn’t want to do that.  As I said before, he can be very stubborn.

Enjoy the holidays!  Much love and happiness to you all!

I just added holiday cards to the website.  Everything is custom, so you can change wording, colors, etc.  All orders must be placed by November 25.

You may recognize this family from a previous post on my blog.  They had their very own session a week after the extended family ones.  I finally had a day that wasn’t freezing.  You all were so nice to work with!  Thanks for the nice day!

These boys are so handsome.  I couldn’t decide which pictures to post; too many cute ones.  One of the little guys fell just as I was starting to take their pictures.  He landed right on his face.  Poor guy!  Through the magic of Photoshop, all wounds are healed.

My good friend had this awesome spot scoped out for her family session.  Love the location!  Can these girls be any cuter?  This particular day happened to be freezing; great job girls!  I was cold with gloves and a coat…brrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

If you happen to have a favorite spot, run it by me.  I love new locations.  It makes my job a little more exciting!

P.S. not posting your family photo in case you want to use it on your card.

every man needs a picture like this on his desk at work…just so there’s no confusion…HA!

Wow, I loved photographing this family!  They were all so laid back and fun.  I usually ask the kids to tell me a funny word to say on the count of three.  The adults said “Don’t ask Grandpa!”  I wondered why…well later when I had just the adults in the picture, they all said the word (hint: it begins with p).  Notice the laughter; they even had me laughing!  I definitely appreciate humor during a session.

Great job by all.  I’m glad we were able to get this done before you daughter moved :-)  It was so nice meeting all of you!

notice the laughter below…

I love the idea this family had for a 4 generation photo.  I’ve thought about doing one with my own family, but never seem to get around to it.  Note to self: make time!

These women are all so beautiful.  Thanks for the fun day!

Ava and her great grandma!

October 20th, 2009

I have been so busy lately that I have fallen behind on posting new pictures.  I have about 10+ sessions to post and hopefully will get to all of them in the next couple of days.  Thanks for being patient!  All the sessions have been great, but there is one that is coming up that is my ALL TIME FAVORITE!  I am giddy just thinking about it.  Look for that one over the weekend.

Holiday cards are coming very soon.  I’m almost finished with them and will have them up by the end of the month.  If you are thinking about holiday cards, here are a few things to keep in mind.  First, they are fully custom.  Any wording or ideas you have can be used.  The deadline for all holiday orders is November 25thAbsolutely, positively, NO EXCEPTIONS! Please don’t ask me after the deadline, because I will tell you, ever-so-kindly, NO.  Wow, was that clear?  I hope so ;-)

OK, OK, on to some pictures.  These two little cuties belong to my good friend and neighbor, Katie.  I love photographing kids that I have known since they were born.  However, it is a reminder that time sure flies and I feel like I’m getting old.  Do you ever have days you wonder “where in the world has the time gone?”  It seems like just yesterday I met you and Mike in your driveway after we moved in (one weekend apart…due to a certain U of M game)  (for the record, no, I’m not an avid fan…my husband and these fine folks attended and sure are fans).

Poor Justin didn’t feel good during the session.  I think he had a little fever.  However, I think he did a good job of acting like he felt just fine.  Thanks for the fun session and dropping me off at the soccer game.

P.S. I’m not posting your family picture in case you want to use it on your card.

I LOVE kids with curls.  Sooooo cute!  This little beauty is only 2.5 and I can’t believe how well she talks.  Most two year olds are hard to understand; Reese speaks as clear as a five year old.  Thanks to your mom for bringing lots of clothes.  It really is so nice to see kids in several outfits!

Happy Birthday Lisa, it was so nice to meet you and your wonderful family!

my favorite one, isn’t she beautiful…
